About Smart Toy Guide

We're parents who got tired of sifting through thousands of toys to find the ones that actually help kids learn, play, and grow.

Every "best toys" list online is the same: 50 products, no real evaluation, and half of them are sponsored. We wanted something different, a small, carefully curated set of recommendations we'd actually buy for our own kids.

Our Approach

Every toy we recommend goes through a real evaluation process. We look at developmental research, read occupational therapist recommendations, comb through hundreds of parent reviews, and consider factors most lists ignore, like noise level, overstimulation risk, and whether a toy works for different types of learners.

We don't accept sponsored placements. No brand pays to be on our lists. If a toy is here, it's because we believe in it. We do earn a small commission through Amazon affiliate links, and this keeps the site running without compromising our recommendations.

Why Neurodivergent Kids?

Many of our recommendations come from occupational therapists, special education teachers, and parents of neurodivergent kids, including our own.

Kids with ADHD, autism, sensory processing differences, and other neurodivergent profiles often need toys that work differently. Toys that are calming instead of overstimulating. Toys that teach through movement, not just screens. Toys that meet them where they are.

We don't label kids. We find toys that work for how they actually think and play.

Who We Are

Smart Toy Guide is a small team of parents, researchers, and educators. We're not a big media company. We're just people who care about getting this right.

If you have a question, a recommendation, or just want to say hi, we'd love to hear from you.
